Taste Ljubljana!

We love Ljubljana. And we love food. So we decided to create Ljubljananjam: a foodwalks-based Ljubljana food loving community, to share news, meet and educate. We want to promote the good stuff.

Ljubljananjam combines gourmet food walks around Ljubljana (food, wine, craft beer, desserts),up-to-date calendar of culinary events, interviews with locals about dining scene, workshops on Slovenian cuisine, list of eateries and similar establishments by categories, best Slovenian food blogs and event galleries. Soon, it will have additional features, like shop, and will also be available in Slovenian. In a nutshell: it represents a meeting point for the food loving community of Ljubljana and showcases great places to eat and drink here.

Ljubljananjam was founded by Iva, long-term photojournalist, foodgeek and travelbug. It combines all her passions: photography, journalism, event organising and, of course, great food and wine. Born and raised in Ljubljana, she spent over 2 years of her life in Vancouver, Canada, and somewhat the same amount of time elsewhere around the globe. All this time, tourists and locals alike were asking her: where in Ljubljana can one grab a delicious bite?! After yet another year in Vancouver, where she worked in a wine store, she decided it was time for a new venture when she returned home. Her friends thought the same. Therefore, in the glorious summer of 2013, Ljubljananjam was born: first in English, gradually Slovenian version will follow.
