Taste Restaurant@Casa Cupula has re-opened for the season under the direction of Chef Juan Pablo Ramirez Luna, one of the best-known chefs on the Vallarta gourmet scene.

Chef Luna was formally trained at the Culinary Institute of America, interned at Jean Georges in New York, and worked at Hotel Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott in New York.  Locally, he is better  known as Corporate Chef of Vista Grill and La Palapa in Puerto Vallarta.  Hailing from Oaxaca Mexico, he is especially interested in the fusion of Oaxacan and Mexican ingredients in international cuisine.

New Mediterranean Flavors on the Menu

This season Taste is introduces Mediterranean food to its selection of three cuisines:  Mediterranean, Mexican and Asian.  New dishes include a robust and flavorful seafood Zarzuela, featuring mussels, shrimp and fish in a rich tomato based soup.  Vegetarians will enjoy a delicious Fusilli with Portobello and Hearts of Artichoke with fresh Parmesan cheese slices. Our famous Black Ravioli stays on the menu to anchor the cuisine.

Under the restaurant's unique concept, any dish may be purchased in a half-portion or "Taste" for under $130 pesos (about $10 USD). Diners can sample one plate from each cuisine and take a gourmet trip around the world in one meal. 

An exciting new addition to the Asian menu is Korean Barbequed Bulgogi, with a choice of marinated beef or pork slices cooked at the table.

Taste is open for dinner from 6pm-11pm Tuesday to Saturday.  A gourmet breakfast and lunch menu poolside are also available. Taste's legendary Sunday Mimosa brunch is open to the public from 10am to 2pm beginning November 3.

Hours: Tuesday-Saturday Breakfast 9am-noon

Lunch 12-5, Dinner 6-11

Sunday brunch 10am-2pm.
