TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo is introducing an all-new event lineup of signature seasonal celebrations including summer, fall and winter festivals to be known as Sunset Celebration, Creatures of the Night and Christmas in the Wild.
“We're reshaping the way our guests can personalize their visits to our world class Zoo,” said CEO Joe Couceiro. “We're excited to present our most engaging line-up of events yet, and to offer our guests absolutely the best value by including the celebrations with Zoo admission.”
The seasonal event series is included with the limited-time ZooperPass tickets (“pay for a day, come back all year”), one-day admission tickets purchased on event days, and discounted “after 4 p.m. tickets” available on event days. Sunset Celebration
July 8-9, 15-16, 22-23, 29-30 and August 5-6 • 4-10 p.m.
For family time or date night, see the Zoo in a whole new light this summer at the all-new Sunset Celebration! Stroll the park as the sun sets and enjoy the wildlife, discover special experiences in scenic areas, groove to live music performed by talented bands, and encounter a wide range of roving entertainment. When it's time to relax, stop by our secluded beer & wine garden and delight in enhanced dining and refreshment offerings. Each fun-filled summer night will be topped off with a dazzling laser light show finale.
Creatures of the Night

Hoot, howl and hangout in the perfect place for kids of all ages and grownups to celebrate Halloween at the all-new Creatures of the Night. There is no telling what wild encounters you will find in the Zoo after dark as you enter immersive themed areas with startling surprises all around. Fall for a spooktacular Jack-O-Lantern display and find ghoulish good times with eerie entertainment, roving characters and spooky mazes. Up-close animal interactions and themed dining opportunities provide entertaining sanctuaries for the entire family. And, there is even a special place set aside just for little “boos” and “ghouls.”
Christmas in the Wild
November 25-26, December 2-3, 9-10, 16-23 and 26-31
Let it glow, let it glow, let it glow! Have a merry and memorable evening with this traditional holiday event in the unique setting of the Zoo at night. This all-new illuminating experience will bring the wonders of the holiday season to life with immersive light displays and lively light shows choreographed to joyful holiday tunes, a new Santa experience, strolling entertainment, Christmas carolers, and special holiday performances every night. *Some blackout dates apply for ZooperPass.
Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo is a member of the Tampa Trio, three of Tampa's must-see tourist attractions, which also includes the Florida Aquarium and the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI).
