LONDON, UK – Tamarind by Elegant Hotels will be converted into a premium all-inclusive resort operating from 1st October 2019. Located on the beautiful Platinum West Coast of Barbados, the beachfront-resort will transform into one of the islands finest family all-inclusive property, focussing on high-quality cuisine and family soft adventure. As part of the new all-inclusive dining experience, guests will be able to dine in one of Barbados' most iconic restaurants, Daphne's throughout their stay.
A seven-night stay at Tamarind will start from £399 per night based on double occupancy in a Pool or Garden View Room. The price includes all regular menu food and beverages, including alcoholic drinks across the Rilaks Deck, Sugar Cane Room and 246 Bar & Restaurant, plus a tailored dinner menu at the acclaimed Daphne's restaurant. Guests will also have complimentary use of motorised water sports including snorkelling, sailing, boogie boards, kayaking, windsurfing, water-skiing and banana boats, the Beach Ambassador Service, fitness centre and classes and Elegant's water taxi service to select properties along the west coast. All of the family will be entertained at Tamarind with access to a Flying Fish Kids Club & Club Tamarind family lounge, as well as an Aqua School teaching a range of water sports. Free Wi-Fi is available for those who wish to keep their social media audiences updated on their holiday extravaganza.
Guests of Tamarind can enjoy high-quality Italian cuisine at celebrity hotspot and award-winning restaurant Daphne's, located just next door, for an evening of fine dining. Regularly featured as one of the top recommended restaurants on the island, it is also the sister venue to renowned London Daphne's restaurant. Award-winning chef Kirk Ruck creates incredible Italian dishes fused with the freshest local island seafood, herbs and spices, all served up overlooking the lapping waves of the ocean.
Already a firm favourite among families, Tamarind will bolster its family offering during the transformation, enriching its entertainment, activities and kids' programmes, whilst extending the hours of the already popular Flying Fish Kids Club. Children can take part in outdoor movie nights, baking and swimming, whilst teenagers can spend time chilling with new friends or playing games at The Tamarind Teens Den. The resort will have a strong focus on outdoor and local educational activities, to get kids and teens outside and active on their holiday. A big focus for the older children and teens will be on the already popular Aqua School, offering instructional snorkelling, water skiing, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding lessons.
