The wonderful world of children's books will be celebrated at the Eden Project with StoryFest this February half-term (February 11 to 19).
The whole family can enjoy daily shows from the Imagination Seekers, a mischievous and inventive theatrical experience inspired by the works of Roald Dahl.
It develops both creative and literacy skills through performance, games and creative play, while exploring Roald Dahl's extraordinary stories, including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG and The Twits along the way.
Paper Nations, the creative writing hub for young people, will be bringing their Dare to Write workshops to Eden for StoryFest.
Dare to Write aims to get the creative juices flowing with writing prompts, challenges and ideas. The adventure begins when you pick up your pen and start to tell your own story.
There will also be some very special guests from the world of children's books, such as Rebecca Cobb, children's book illustrator whose work includes The Paper Dolls, John Dougherty, author of children's book series Stinkbomb & Ketchup-Face, and Martin Brown, illustrator of the first Horrible Histories books.
Visitors can take part in interactive story sessions with Eden's narrators, contribute to the big book exchange, and get hands-on with craft workshops and games.
Marion Harrison, Eden Live Project Lead, said: “During StoryFest we will be encouraging our visitors to dive deep into the world of stories and get creative. We hope that families enjoy the wide range of activities on site and let their imaginations run wild this February half term.”
Activities will be happening across Eden's site throughout the day and the price will be included with normal Eden admission ticket.
