New one-day tour for visitors to discover the history of King Richard III, from his death at Bosworth Battlefield to the discovery of his remains in Leicester
Leicester Shire Promotions has launched a new one-day tour to help visitors to Leicester and Leicestershire discover more about the history of King Richard III. 'The King's Tour' includes a Blue Badge Guide walking tour, coach travel from the city to Bosworth Battlefield, entry to the Battlefield visitor exhibition and discounts on food and drink in the city.
The King's Tour costs £10 per person (full paying adult) and £8.50 (concessions), and takes place on the first Sunday and Wednesday of each month from June to September. The dates are: Sunday 2 June, Wednesday 5 June, Wednesday 3 July, Sunday 7 July, Sunday 4 August, Wednesday 7 August, Sunday 1 September and Wednesday 4 September. The tour starts at 10am each day in Leicester with the coach departing for Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre at 12.30pm and returning to Leicester at approximately 6pm.
