With just six luxurious tents perched on the edge of a lagoon, Wilderness Safaris' Abu Camp offers a wonderful wild escape. The camp is home to around 20 habituated elephants, many have been rescued and rehabilitated. Guests have the opportunity to walk with them and to swim or enjoy a mudbath with them. Spend a night sleeping in Abu Camp's star bed, near the elephant boma and be lulled to sleep by the elephants rumblings. Enjoy game drives, mokoro safaris (traditional dug out canoes), elephant activities and bush walks. Guests can expect to see buffalo, hippo, red lechwe, zebra and giraffe. The dominant carnivores in the area are lion and hyena with occasional sightings of leopard and wild dog.

Mombo Camp consists of just nine sumptuous tented suites complete with outdoor salas and is situated in the Mombo Concession, on the northern tip of Chief's Island within the Moremi Game Reserve. The game here is second to none. The entire camp has been built to maximise views over the wilderness and therefore guests will continuously be aware of the ever-present game.Game drives are included twice daily in 4x4 vehicles.

After a night at the Saxon Boutique Hotel & Spa in Sandhurst, Johannesburg fly on to Mahe in the Seychelles before transferring by helicopter to wondrous North Island, where the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge honeymooned.
