Tourism Port Douglas and Daintree (TPDD) has announced the launch of its #ATEselfies campaign to help raise awareness of Port Douglas and Daintree based tourism experiences at ATE14.
The campaign will encourage inbound travel agents attending ATE as a delegate to upload their best selfie to either their Instagram or Facebook account at any TPDD member booth using the hash tags #portdouglasdaintree #ATEselfies.
TPDD executive officer Doug Ryan said the campaign was designed to promote and increase Port Douglas and Daintree brand awareness, as well as increase industry engagement with social media channels to keep the destination front of mind when in region.
“We want to get the attention of buyers, sellers and media attending ATE and show that Port Douglas and the Daintree is Tropical North Queensland's star attraction,” he said.
The prize for the best selfie will be the “ultimate travel companion”, which includes a BOSE QuietComfort 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones, iPad mini, GoPro HERO3+ White Edition, Love Port Douglas Daintree 'care package' including a divine selection of Daintree Naturals beauty products and locally roasted Origin Espresso coffee all wrapped in a stylish new travel bag.
“It's all about being creative and a bit daring with your selfie so we can inspire everyone to join in the fun and the fact that there is a great prize on offer, we are hoping for a lot of participation,” Mr Ryan said.
There will also be daily prizes for #selfiesontour, with post ATE famil participants encouraged to share their pic with TPDD's Facebook page facebook.com/PortDouglasDaintree or tag the organisation on Instagram @portdouglasdaintree. Hashtags #portdouglasdaintree
#ATEselfiesontour must also be used for both Facebook and Instagram.
“Entrants must then like and follow Port Douglas & Daintree on social media to see if they have won,” Mr Ryan added.
