Taiwan Tourism Bureau at Bluewater Shopping Centre and World Travel Market 2013
The Taiwan Tourism Bureau will be returning to London’s World Travel Market from 4th – 7th November to promote the island’s rich history, dramatic landscapes, natural beauty, indigenous traditions and incredible food. Taiwan will be exhibiting at stand AS 450.
Taiwan’s theme for World Travel Market 2013 will be Taiwan’s seven hearts that reflect the top themes for touring Taiwan: nature, shopping, culture, romance, cycling and food, plus the main touring heart.
Key dates for the diary include the ever-popular Taiwan Happy Hour, taking place on the stand from 4pm on Tuesday 5th November which will also include a talk on Taiwan. Visitors to Happy Hour will be able to enter into a prize draw to win a holiday to Taiwan which includes airline tickets and accommodation at some of Taiwan’s most prestigious hotels. Champagne, soft drinks and nibbles, as well as traditional Taiwanese snacks, will be available for media, operators and other colleagues in the travel industry.
On Wednesday 6th November, the Taiwan stand will host a Travel Agents Networking and Reward Function breakfast, there will be a brief welcome speech followed by an informal Q&A session during which agents will be encouraged to share their Taiwan selling tips with peers. At the end of the session agents will have the chance to take part in a raffle to win two Taiwanese gift sets, there will also be the opportunity for agents and visitors to the stand to have a personalized cupcake made with their very own photograph on the icing.
Along with the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, trade delegates including airline and hotel partners will also be present at the stand and Taiwanese aboriginal dancers in traditional costume will be on hand to distribute information on the island and to promote Taiwan’s culture.
To coincide with WTM, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau is also staging a high profile consumer event at one of the busiest shopping centre’s in the South East, Bluewater. The event will take place on the weekend prior to WTM, on Saturday November 2 from 9am-9pm and will feature Taiwan’s aboriginal dancers who will provide entertainment throughout the day. Shoppers will also be given the opportunity to win two tickets to Taipei and a private nine day tour around the island.
