Tailor-madeadventures.com Launches New Trip To North Korea

Imaginative Adventures

Tailor-madeadventures.com, the recently-launched bespoke travel service from Dragoman and Imaginative Traveller, has just created a new tour to North Korea.

The 12 day trip, which starts and ends in Beijing, takes in Pyongyang (the capital and heart of socialist North Korea), Ulim waterfall, the coastal city of Hamhung (only recently opened up to foreigners), a visit to the Dongbong Co-operative Farm for an insight into how the country's social policies work in practice, the port city of Wonsan, Mt Kumgang (and a hike to Samil lagoon and the Kuryong waterfall), before heading to Kaesong, the most heavily fortified border on earth, the DMZ.

Jim O'Brien, who heads up Tailor-madeadventures.com says, "North Korea offers the more adventurous traveller a completely unique experience.  From bizarre monuments dedicated to the 'Kims', travellers will be amongst the first to discover what is at once a beautiful country, with waterfalls, mountains and coastal scenery, but also one of contrasts, visiting as we do what is perhaps the strangest tourist attraction in the world, the border between North and South Korea. It's guaranteed that a tour to North Korea will be different to anything travellers have experienced before."

The sample twelve day trip, which can be altered according to personal requirements, costs from £2,700 per person based on two people travelling. Flights ex. Heathrow are from £480 per person.
