Sykes Cottages Recruits 7,000th Property

Sykes Cottages

Sykes Cottages has this week reached a milestone 7,000 holiday properties across the UK and Ireland.

Starting life as a family business run from the kitchen table, Sykes has now grown into the UK's biggest and fastest growing independent cottage rental agency with over 250 people employed at their Chester head office.

Miles Hill, Chief Executive Officer at Sykes Cottages said: “We're delighted to have hit this milestone and welcomed our 7,000th property this week. We've brought on board over 1,000 holiday rentals in the past 12 months alone, going from strength to strength, including many in new areas where we've not previously had properties.

“This is the icing on top of the cake after a record-breaking year”.

The 7,000th property to join Sykes Cottages was Rhodewood Lodge, a spectacular six-bedroom Gothic mansion in Pembrokeshire. Setting the bar high, the luxury holiday home offers sea views, a private hot tub and is within five minutes' walk of a Blue Flag beach.

The past 12 months have seen other big achievements from Sykes Cottages including winning the British Travel Award for 'Best Large Holiday Cottage Booking Company' for the third year in a row, as well as being named in the London Stock Exchange's '1000 Companies to Inspire Britain' for the second year running.
