Sydney Festival presents
The oldest love story, Dido and Aeneas at The Sydney Lyric
Sydney Lyric at The Star, l plays host to the oldest love story in English opera, Dido and Aeneas from 16 January to 21 January 2014. The opera combines the exceptional talents of Berlin choreographer Sasha Waltz together with celebrated Baroque orchestra Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin in the reimagining of one of the world's great romantic tragedies.
The opera will transport the audience into a wondrous underwater realm, where submerged dancers glide gracefully around a glass aquarium that fills the stage.

Five star Fast Festival Feasts
Throughout Festival season, The Star has on offer a range of cuisine options available at signature restaurants Balla, BLACK by ezard and Sokyo.
Fast Festival Feasts offers Festival-goers the chance to dine on Sydney's finest cuisine with $55 and à la carte options available whilst taking in all they want to see and do as part of Sydney Festival 2014.
In addition, Garden Buffet will be offering lunch for only $28 per person, Monday to Friday, from 9 to 26 January.

Sky Terrace at The Star
Sky Terrace features a wealth of free music, with live acts including The Staves (UK), Dom Flemons (USA) and Scanner (UK) and DJs Andy Votel (UK), Funki Porcini (UK) and Jonathan Toubin (USA).
Situated on the roof of The Star, Sky Terrace has a relaxed atmosphere, a range of food and beverage options and spectacular panoramic views of Sydney.

Sydney Festival Ferrython
The annual Australia Day Ferrython on 26 January will see Sydney's ferries go head-to-head, racing from Circular Quay to Shark Island and back to the finishing post under Sydney Harbour Bridge.
