The 13th Nantwich Jazz,Blues and Music Festival kicks off again this Easter weekend with some top class musicians appearing in the South Cheshire market town including a scoop appearance by singer-songwriter, Sandi Thom.

Top class performers will be appearing throughout the weekend at 20 venues across the town. Getting the weekend off to a bang on Friday will be Soul�d on Blues, a concert bringing the legendary sounds of Chris Farlowe, Cliff Bennett and Herbie Goins to one stage, backed by the Norman Beaker Band. Together they will revisit their old hits as well as those of Otis Redding, James Brown and Wilson Pickett.

World-renowned musicians such as the British saxophonist Snake Davis, Texan guitarist Hamilton Loomis and electric blues master Sherman Robertson will headlining alongside bands including the high-energy Jive Aces and Swing Commanders over a jam-packed weekend.

Local bars will have a rolling programme of entertainment throughout the weekend whilst a Mex Fest, with a variety of bands including Sgt Wolf Banger will be open to youngsters aged 14 and over on Thursday 9 April. Organisers are expecting a sell-out when the songstress Sandi Thom plays at The Crown Hotel on Bank Holiday Monday. She shot to fame with �I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker� after webcasting gigs from her basement flat in Tooting and will be visiting Nantwich on a homecoming tour before leaving for the US.
