SwimTrek has run several pioneering swimming trips, offering the chance to be among the first to swim in some incredible locations around the world. The industry leading swim holiday provider is further extending its innovative range of trips with its first holidays in the Philippines.
Based at the luxurious Miniloc Islands Resort, this guide led trip will explore the north-western reaches off the coast of Palawan Island. Here guests are perfectly placed to explore Miniloc island itself and beyond into the Bacuit archipelago. With waterside accommodation, its own house reef and breath-taking lagoons as just some of the great features the resort boasts, So after a day's swimming, you have the perfect place to relax or try your hand at some additional watersports, such as paddleboarding, snorkelling and kayaking.
This trip offers the chance to discover the beauty of the blue-green waters in the vast Bacuit archipelago. From limestone karsts to secluded secret beaches, this is a wonder filled trip where there is so much that guests can see. Towering cliffs sprinkled with lush green vegetation reach down to the bright colours of the corals below the water's surface, where dugongs, long nosed dolphins and manta rays dance and play. This is the place to be for curious, adventure seeking swimmers.
A perfect trip for the those who love to immerse themselves in striking landscapes and vibrant warm waters, the Palawan Paradise – Philippines tour offers the added thrill of being one of the first to swim in these waters. It is also a trip the staff at SwimTrek HQ are excited to bring to market. SwimTrek Product Manager Daniel Le Merle, who worked on the Philippines itinerary with founder Simon Murie, said: “after the amazing feedback following our first Vietnam and Indonesia SwimTrek's, we had to find more world class swim destinations in South East Asia. We know that SwimTrekkers love those more remote, idyllic swim spots and so we chose the Bacuit archipelago. Just off El Nido, on Palawan island, are a group of islands with steep karst cliffs similar to those we swim around in Vietnam. The waters here are clear and warm and we found the most amazing little resort nestled under towering limestone cliffs, topped by mops of lush green and fringed by a colourful coral house reef. We knew that this had to be the next SwimTrek destination.”
SwimTrek's pioneering, first ever trips to the Philippines are running in October 2019. Prices begin from £2,100 per person based on a shared room. Packages include fully guided swimming tour, 6 nights accommodation and all meals. Flights and alcoholic beverages not included.
