Leading venues across Norfolk and Suffolk have joined together to whisk up a special celebration of magic, wizardry and spooky happenings this October.
Magic Moments sees around 20 of the region's leading arts organisations, museums and attractions programming an array of astounding shows, workshops and exhibitions around the theme.
Headlining the programme is an award-winning international magic show from Swedish sleight-of-hand sensations, Charlie Caper and Malin Nilsson. The show, Minor Miracles, returns to the UK for the first time since it made its smash-hit debt at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2015.
Malin is renowned for her live shows. With her variety-inspired style, she's a regular performer at one of the world's most prestigious venues - The Magic Castle in Hollywood. Charlie is a street magician by heart, silver medallist at the World Championship of Magic and has his own prime-time TV programme in Sweden.
The duo tour four locations across the east – Norwich, Ipswich, Great Yarmouth and Bury St Edmunds. Each location will host a programme of magic and mystery themed shows, events and workshops, ensuring hours of fun for all the family.
You will be treated to spooky chills and circus skills at Great Yarmouth Hippodrome's Halloween Spooktacular, uncover the ancient art of alchemy at Ipswich Museum or giggle at a spellbinding panto parody, Hocus Pocus, at Bury St Edmunds' Apex.
Magic Moments is a Look Sideways East project, supported by Arts Council England, New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership and Norfolk & Suffolk County Councils. Designed to get families exploring Norfolk and Suffolk, it sees many of the region's leading venues and arts organisations working together on a number of projects.
Magic Moments takes place throughout October half-term, Sat 20 – Sun 28 October. For further information and details of events in each location, visit www.visiteastofengland.com
