Capella Hotels and Resorts has announced the appointment of Susie Lim-Kannan as director of marketing communications for Capella Singapore, the new ultra-luxury hotel set to open March 2009 on Sentosa Island. A marketing and public relations veteran, Lim-Kannan has specialized in the luxury hospitality and performing arts sectors for more than two decades. She will be responsible for overseeing all marketing communications and public relations efforts for Capella Singapore - the Asian flagship for Capella Hotels and Resorts.

Most recently, Lim-Kannan served as director of communications at Shangri-La�s Villingili Resort and Spa Maldives, where she was responsible for launching the pre-opening public relations program for the luxury resort development, including the oversight of secondary agencies in key European markets. Prior to this, Lim-Kannan served as director of marketing communications for The Fullerton Hotel Singapore. She has also managed public relations activities for Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, In addition, Lim-Kannan has handled public relations efforts for The UWA Perth International Arts Festival, the oldest international multi-arts festival in the Southern hemisphere and Western Australia�s premier cultural event.
