Football may not be coming home, but England fans have clearly forgiven the Croatians for beating them - so much so that they are jumping on a plane to visit them!

easyJet Holidays has reported an increase in last minute beach holidays bookings to destinations across Europe, since England crashed out of the World Cup. Surprisingly, trips to Croatia are up 67% week on week & World Cup winning France has seen a 60% spike in bookings.

Some of the biggest increases are from the South of England to the popular holiday destinations of Dubrovnik, Split and the Adriatic Coast. Holidays from London Stansted to the Eastern European country are up 200%, while departures from Southend have risen 100% and from Bristol have grown 150%.

Mandy Round, General Manager commented “Clearly we bear no grudges against our rivals. With the football over and the school holidays upon us, holidaymakers are on the look-out for a last minute trip to the continent. Interestingly, we have noticed that our fellow semi-finalists are seeing some of the largest spikes in sales. For those yet to book a summer holiday there are still some great bargains to be had right across Europe.”

The tour operator is currently offering savings of £100 off every beach holiday booking of £1,300 or more, departing from 20 July to 31 August 2018. To qualify, holidaymakers should book by 8 August 2018 and enter the code GONOW at time of booking.
