Tasman Venture Cruises, a name synonymous with whale watching cruises in Australia's whale watching capital, Hervey Bay, is now offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy stand up paddle boarding tours along the pristine and isolated north western coastline of World Heritage listed Fraser Island.
The Remote Fraser Island tour is the only tour with access to stunning Wathumba Creek, as well as both Awinya Creek and Bowarrady Creek – all of which offer spectacular backdrops to enjoy a unique stand up paddleboard experience and up close encounters with a vast array of wildlife. If guests are lucky they may see a pure bred Fraser Island dingo.
Kate Ernst, Marketing Manager at Tasman Venture Cruises said that the new offering was already proving to be a hit and provided guests with a truly unique way to experience Fraser Island.
'Stand Up Paddle Boarding has emerged as a hugely popular activity world wide and we are delighted to be able to provide this experience in one of Australia's most famous nature based destinations' Mrs. Ernst said.
'The locations we visit on the West Coast of Fraser Island are perfect for stand up paddle boarding, and allow our guests to get up close and personal with animals such as turtles, dugongs, a huge variety of fish and bird species as well as the occasional dingo!'
'Not only is the activity great fun, it also enables Tasman Venture as an Advanced Eco Certified operator to conduct a touring option that ensures minimal disturbance and impact to the natural environment of Fraser Island' she added.
The option of stand up paddle boarding is being offered free of charge as a part of the Tasman Venture Remote Fraser Island tour, which operates between November and April of each year.
Prices started at AUS$150 per person, or AUS$450 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children.
