When you think of iconic movie locations, Michigan may not spring to mind, but some of the greatest movies of all time were filmed in the Great Lakes State, along with the hottest blockbuster of 2016 – Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The film is due out on March 25th in the UK, and sees Detroit reprise its role as Gotham City once again starring alongside Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, in this Warner Brothers adventure. Detroit won't be the only place in Michigan you will spot in the movie, filming also took place in Birmingham, Flint and Pontiac.
Of course we all know Eminem's 8 mile was filmed on the streets of Detroit, and won him an Oscar back in 2002 but did you know that fellow Oscar winner Clint Eastwood has also filmed in Detroit, on Gran Torino?
Even back in the 80's and 90's Michigan was on Hollywood's must have list, with classics like the Beverley Hills Cop series and Die Hard 2 being filmed in Michigan. Yes, John McClane dominated at Alpena Airport in Northern Michigan on that snowy Christmas Eve in 1990.
