Sunset Bungalows Resort, Vanuatu takes pleasure to announce the recent appointment of a new Head Chef to strengthen its Food & Beverage team, Ni-Vanuatu Chef Napapo Meake.

Chef Napapo was born in Port Vila and after attending the Lycee Louis Antoine de Bougainville he began his cooking career at INTV (Institute National Technology Vanuatu). Upon the successful completion of his studies he gained work experience with several well -known Port Vila restaurants before setting sail with P&O Cruise lines.  After 6 years on the high seas Napapo decided it was time for a "land change" and he settled into the kitchen on the private island resort of Ratua in Espiritu Santo.  Four years on, we are delighted that to announce that Chef Napapo Meake has made the move back to Port Vila and to Sunset Bungalows Resort. 

"We are receiving great compliments about the meals especially the way he can cook a steak... Perfect!" said Resort General Manager Greg Procter.  "Currently Chef Napapo is training our younger food and beverage staff and refreshing our menu with a view to introducing some exciting dishes using the local fresh Santo Beef, fish and fresh, naturally organic local produce and ingredients that we have available in Port Vila".

Sunset Bungalows Resort is located just 3klm from the centre of Port Vila, right on the water's edge and caters exclusively for adults. The resort restaurant, BUNGALOW ATE: is suspended over the lagoon and offers breath taking views of the lagoon and the tropical fish that linger around the deck.
