Sun, Sea And Santa At The Sarojin This Christmas

The Sarojin

Luxury Thai resort, The Sarojin, is spreading joy this Christmas with a number of magical extras designed to add a bit of luxury sparkle to festivities. As part of its festive celebrations, the five-star boutique is inviting guests to sing seasonal carols with local children from the Baan Tharn Namchai Orphanage on Christmas Eve, and present each orphaned child with a specially wrapped gift provided by The Sarojin at this very giving time of year.

After sharing melodies with the inspiring children from the orphanage, many of whom were heavily impacted by the 2004 Asian Tsunami, guests can sit down to enjoy a gourmet menu devised by the creative Executive Chef Goph as they dine beneath the resort's ancient Ficus tree, magically illuminated with sparkling lights. A five-course degustation menu includes firm festive favourites, such as Christmas pudding with brandy custard and sherry jam, and will culminate with a round of egg nog to toast to the arrival of Christmas Day.

Further to their dining delight, guests have a wonderful opportunity to partake in one of Thailand's long-lasting traditions and release a khom loy (spirit lantern) into the night's sky. With the common belief that spirit lanterns carry spoken words up to those who are no longer with us, it is a beautiful way to remember late friends and family at this special time of year, during an event that sets the Thai skyline alight.

After a peaceful sleep in one of The Sarojin's five-star guest residences, guests will awake to Christmas Day and be welcomed by Santa Claus himself taking dinner requests for the resort's annual Christmas Seafood BBQ. Located on the resort's secluded 11km white sand beach, the BBQ features live acoustic music and a diverse choice of dishes including customary Christmas favourites, as they lap up the luxury and watch the waves gently lapping on the shore.

With its ability to create memorable moments for guests, The Sarojin can tailor-make a host of seasonal extras including the chance to pull crackers under a starlit sky while being “shipwrecked” on their own remote sand island in the Andaman Sea; or swap presents and enjoy a glass of champagne onboard the Lady Sarojin private yacht. These are just a few examples of the unique offerings that The Sarojin has wrapped up for its guests at Christmas.

Couples can treat themselves to an early Christmas present and book a luxury stay at The Sarojin. Rooms start from THB 28,464 (approximately GBP 547) in a luxury Garden Residence with all-day à la carte breakfast with sparkling wine for two people. EVA Air offers direct flights to Thailand from London Heathrow, with return airfares from £578 per person. Book online at www.evaair.com
