VOLT Festival 2016 in Sopron, Hungary – 29 June – 2 July 2016
The VOLT Festival, winner of the Best-Medium Sized Festival in 2015, takes place in Sopron close to the Austrian border in Hungary. It's easily reached by train from Budapest and this year's line-up includes Iron Maiden, The Prodigy, Damien Rice, Stereo MC's and Slayer. The festival attracts around 100,000 people each year and has become one of the most popular and diverse festivals in Europe.

Balaton Sound Celebrates 10 years - 6 - 10 July 2016
The Balaton Sound is celebrating 10 years this summer and is one of the most popular electronic and hip hop festivals in Europe. As well as leading music acts, it's the beachside location on the shores of Lake Balaton that attracts up to 100,000 visitors to this festival every year.
Taking place at Zamárdi, just an hour outside of Budapest this year will see DJs such as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Armin Van Buuren, W&W, Oliver Heldens, KSHMR, Nervo, Don Diablo, Paul Van Dyk, Aly & Fila playing. When it comes to hip-hop A$AP Ferg, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, The Game, Tyga and Tyler and The Creator are just some of the acts confirmed.
As well as enjoying the music on several stages there are also exclusive boat parties taking place daily from 3pm until 7pm on Lake Balaton with well-known DJs on board, plus a variety of bars, seaside lounges and restaurants to enjoy.

Sziget Festival will rock Budapest once again from 10 – 17 August 2016
The Sziget festival is one of the largest music and cultural festivals in Europe, and winner of many awards over the years, including Best Major Festival (twice) and Best European Line-Up at the European festival Awards. The festival takes places on Óbuda Island, re-named 'Island of Freedom' for the week, in Budapest's 3rd District, from 10-17 August 2016.
A host of international stars will be performing this year, including Rihanna, Muse, Sia, John Newman, Bastille, Kaiser Chiefs, Jess Glynne, Skunk Anansie, Tourist, David Guetta and Manu Chau, plus there will be cultural programmes, DJ's and a fabulous party atmosphere with installations, sculptures and fantastic light shows to keep festival goers entertained.
Attractions include the Collosseum, a venue to hear cool electro music from an impressive line-up of DJs, Cirque Du Sziget offering fantastic shows during the week, a Ruin Pub quarter re-creating the ambience of Budapest's unique ruin pubs, the Afro-Latin-Reggae Village, a Chess tent to test your wits against fellow festival goers, a travelling funfair, a World Music Stage, plus the Sziget Beach where partygoers can chill out.
Visitors can either choose to camp at the festival by purchasing a camping ticket or they can stay in a hostel or hotel in Budapest and purchase a daily ticket.
