About the Region of Valencia:
At the heart of Spain's eastern coast, stretching some 500 km. along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, lies the Region of Valencia. Formed of three provinces (Alicante, Valencia and Castellón), the region offers diverse landscapes, rich history, mouthwatering gastronomy, modern architecture and ideal locations for Europe's biggest cultural and sporting events, including Las Fallas and the MotoGP Grand Prix.
The Region of Valencia also plays host to the largest concentration of blue flag beaches in Europe, which can be enjoyed with an almost perfect climate year-round. Further inland, mountains soaring 2,000 m. high, 21 protected parks, 6 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and over 5,000 km. of certified trials provide a true paradise for nature lovers.
