(London, Spring 2010) � To coincide with the Grace Kelly exhibition in London at The Victoria & Albert Museum, The Connaught in Mayfair will pay tribute to the screen legend with the introduction of �Grace Kelly: Style Icon Weekends�.
The iconic landmark hotel used to be her London home and many of the staff vividly remember her extraordinary presence. In The Connaught�s elegant bedrooms, guests can dream away with legendary movies starring Grace Kelly such as To Catch a Thief, High Society and Rear Window. Additionally, a specially created commemorative exhibition book and tickets for The V&A will await guests� arrival. The award-winning Connaught Bar has devised three bespoke cocktails inspired by different stages of her life including �Hollywood Star�, �Beloved Princess� and �Royal Bride�. For the finishing touch, The Connaught�s renowned butlers will arrange private visits to Balenciaga, conveniently located around the corner on fashionable Mount Street, which was an absolute favourite of Grace Kelly.

GRACE KELLY: Hollywood Star In early 1956 Grace started filming High Society which also starred Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra. Grace's last film as Grace Kelly was a remake of the 1940 film The Philadelphia Story. The movie was a musical comedy. Grace earned a Gold Record for her duet with Bing Crosby in the song "True Love". Her wedding was scheduled for April, so after the filming for High Society was over, Grace tied ends with America and "set sailed" to France where her fianc� was waiting.
HIGH SOCIETY 45ml Gin 20ml lemon juice 15ml homemade raspberry syrup 10ml pasteurised egg white
Shake all ingredients in a shaker filled with cubed ice. Double strain in a Connaught bespoke chilled martini glass. Garnish with raspberry and sprig of mint.
GRACE KELLY: Beloved Princess On 28 December 1955, Grace started to let people know about her engagement to Rainier. Rainier gave her a friendship ring, a band with diamonds and rubies, until the diamond engagement ring could be made. Grace's Cartier engagement ring from Rainier featured a 10.47-carat emerald-cut diamond and two baguette diamonds mounted in platinum. She wore the ring as her character's engagement ring in High Society. When their engagement was announced in 1956, Grace drank vodka on the rocks and Rainier had a sidecar.
PRINCESS GRACE 45ml Vodka 15ml Bianco Vermouth
Place the ingredients in a mixing glass filled with double frozen clear ice. Stir and strain, serve on the rocks in a Connaught bespoke wine glass. Garnish with a lemon peel.

FLEURISSMO 1 white sugar cube 5dashes homemade Connaught Bitter 5ml violet liquor 15ml Cognac VSOP Top champagne
Soak the sugar cube with homemade Connaught Bitter, gently drop in the Connaught bespoke champagne coupe filled with the rest of the ingredients. Garnish with an orange zest and a rose petal.
