Sting Dancehall Extravaganza To Wow A Global Audience

Jamaica Tourist Board

The Jamaica Tourist Board is to sponsor the dancehall extravaganza Sting. The legendary stage show featuring the best of Jamaica's dancehall artists, celebrates its 30th staging on 26 December with plans to make the concert available to millions worldwide via pay-per-view.

First held in 1984, this year's concert will feature iconic Jamaican dancehall artists such as Super Cat, Lady Saw and Beenie Man as well as American rapper 2 Chainz. It will be held in Portmore, St Catherine, and is set to capture a global television audience of 350 million.

Jason Hall, Deputy Director of Tourism, Cruise, Events and Attractions at the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), says his organisation is pleased to come on board as a sponsor of this hugely popular event.

Hall said, "The Jamaica Tourist Board is focussed on presenting Jamaica as the premier event destination in the Caribbean, and STING has the potential to add to this claim.  Patrons can expect to experience authentic Jamaican music, food and culture in a festive setting.  The show is a good way to end Jamaica's annual entertainment calendar."To watch the live stream and for more information visit www.bringthesting.com.
