30 May 2013
Under new Head Chef Julian Ward, JW Steakhouse is launching “Steak of the Month” along with a menu of Bourbon tasting flights at The Bourbon Bar on 1 June.
Providing the perfect opportunity to spoil Dad for Father’s Day on 16th June, Ward’s personally selected cut will be on the menu exclusively for just one month, the first being the Longhorn. JW Steakhouse is famous for serving the finest cuts of USDA beef and select cuts of Aberdeen Angus, meaning that Steak of the Month will give new guests and regulars the chance to try something extra special.
Ward will be hand selecting, aging and carving a different cut, each month and will run throughout summer until September. Follow @JW_Steakhouse on Twitter to be the first to hear on what they will be.
The Bourbon Bar offers a remarkable selection of over 150 Bourbon varietals including single barrel and small batch bourbons, plus its very own Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel (one in only a hundred barrels as selected by Jack Daniel’s Master Taster to carry the Single Barrel label). A selection will be presented in a menu of tasting flights, also from 1 June.
Julian Ward joined JW Steakhouse as Head Chef in March 2013, bringing 21 years of experience in both London and the USA and joining from the Fox & Grapes in Wimbledon; brainchild of two Michelin starred Hibiscus Chef, Claude Bosi. His JW Steakhouse menu also offers authentically prepared dishes, including Maryland-style lump crab cakes, line-caught cod fish and chips, crisp salads and pan seared Scottish salmon. Side dishes include creamed spinach and towering onion ring stacks, with a locally sourced market potato menu including bourbon sweet potato mash with a marshmallow crust.
JW Steakhouse’s signature cheesecake is the stand out dessert dish, having garnered global recognition as one of the best this side of the Atlantic.
