Boutique serviced apartment provider Staying Cool at the Rotunda, in Birmingham, has reached the finals of Visit England’s prestigious Awards for Excellence for 2013. The company is in the final five for the ‘Self Catering Holiday Provider of the Year’ category. 

"The Visit England awards are the equivalent of the Oscars for the tourism industry,” said Tracey Stephenson, Staying Cool’s Managing Director. “This is a huge honour - we have been regional winners before but we have never made it to the nationals. I am really proud of our exceptional team." 

Staying Cool at the Rotunda offers guests a unique proposition with 26 serviced apartments sitting at the top of a Grade-II listed, cylindrical skyscraper right at the heart of Birmingham. The views across the city are spectacular, particularly from the balconies that wrap round the four penthouses on the 21st floor, and chic interiors reflect the building’s 1960s heritage.

Staying Cool sees this shortlisting as a defining moment in the history of the serviced apartment sector in the UK. Tracey continued, “A city-centre operator has now reached the last five in Visit England’s self-catering category, which I think reflects the growth, quality and status of the sector as a whole to England's visitor economy.”

The team at Staying Cool at the Rotunda will find out whether they have won the self-catering category on May 20th, 2013 at the Visit England Awards ceremony.
