Built in the classic Victorian style, this impressive pet-friendly manor house is approached via an attractive private driveway.  The first thing that strikes you on arrival is the scale of this splendid house and the proportions of its rooms, both in terms of size and height.  The entrance hall leaves you in no doubt that the original owners wanted to make an immediate impact on their guests, with a grand carved staircase that rises to the second floor.

Inside, Ben Venue has a spacious interior with a well-equipped open plan kitchen and breakfast area.  Here you’ll find acres of work surfaces, a kitchen table for eight, a sofa and TV.  The main living room, which comes with flatscreen TV, is bathed in light from the floor to ceiling picture windows that overlook the gardens.  Here, two large sofas sit beneath an impressive chandelier and flank the fire place with its attractive period surrounding.  Alongside two armchairs this room comfortably seats eight and leads on, via French doors, to the pretty conservatory.  Furnished with a dining table for eight and armchairs, the conservatory provides the perfect place to relax in the heat of the day and admire the private enclosed courtyard. 

For special occasions the formal dining area provides a great place for the full family to gather and celebrate.  Crowned with decorative cornicing that runs throughout the ground floor, the dining room is finished with pretty period furniture, candle-effect wall lights, a handsome fireplace and an ornate central chandelier. 

The games room, also on the ground floor, harks back to days of Downton Abbey, with a full size snooker table as the centrepiece to the room.  For those with more modern tastes the gym, situated on the lower ground floor, is fitted out with a treadmill, exercise bike and seating.

The grand staircase sweeps up to the second floor and the large landing area that doubles as a study. Furnished with armchairs, a coffee table, desk and book shelves - with a selection of novels and paperbacks - the study provides a quiet area for contemplation and relaxation. 

Six large bedrooms can be found beyond, each of which has impressive views of the bay or the gardens.  Five are furnished with large, attractive four poster beds alongside attractive pieces of furniture, chests of drawers, bedside tables and lamps.  Bedroom four is furnished with two single beds, a cot, a built in wardrobe and bedside table with lamp.
