Stay And Play At The Roxburghe Hotel & Golf Course - Ryder Cup Packages

Roxburghe Hotel and Golf

With The Ryder Cup returning to Scotland this year from 23-28 September, The Roxburghe Hotel & Golf Course has launched a package for golf fans.

The Ryder Cup Package includes dinner, bed and breakfast and includes transport to and from Berwick Station. The hotel is also ideally situated near the A7 and A68, making it a great location to stop on the way north to the tournament or when heading back south afterwards.  Also included is a round of golf on the Roxburghe's own Championship course so guests can enjoy not only watching golf on a great Scottish course, but playing on one as well.   Available from £193 per person based on sharing a classic twin or double room, the offer is a good way to enjoy the tournament as well as the peace and comfort of Scotland's beautiful Scottish Borders.

In celebrating the best of Scottish Golf, the Roxburghe Golf Course, one of Scotland's best inland courses, is offering a 4-Ball special until September. The offer includes tea or coffee and light snack on arrival, 18 holes on the Championship course, two buggies per 4-ball and lunch after the round, all for just £299.00.

Situated on The Roxburghe Estate, the hotel is surrounded by the beautiful, rolling hills of the Scottish Borders and sits on the banks of the Rivers Teviot and Tweed, offering shooting, fishing and country pursuits, plus walks and its own Championship golf course.  The hotel also boasts its own Beauty Suite offering luxurious treatments for ultimate rest and relaxation. Chef Gordon Campbell and his team create wonderful meals with seasonal menus, using the best of local and estate produce. The hotel is a lovely, comfortable retreat and is a genuine labour of love by the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe, whose personal touches on everything from the furnishings to the wine list, make the Roxburghe so special.

Commissioned by the Duke of Roxburghe, the 7,111-yard, par-72 Roxburghe Golf Course is widely considered one of the top inland golf courses in Scotland and is the south eastern region's first Championship course. Set in 200 acres of parkland, and a key feature of the beautiful Roxburghe Estate, the course was designed by legendary golfer and course architect, Dave Thomas, in 1995 and was opened by Colin Montgomerie and Sir Nick Faldo in 1997. The signature hole is the 14th, a 585-yard, par five known as 'The Viaduct.' With its elevated tee commanding superb views over the River Teviot, the fairway hugs the river on the left and an imposing viaduct looms across the horizon.

Guests can book on 01573 450 331 (hotel), 01573 450 333 (golf course) or www.roxburghe.net. Train tickets and Ryder Cup tickets are extra and are not bookable through the hotel.
