Starwood Hotels in Montreal will be pedaling hard this weekend!

Associates from three downtown Starwood Hotels raise more than $60,000 for Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer

July 6, 2012 - This weekend, Starwood Hotels in Montreal are participating in the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer with a team of riders comprised of associates from Le Centre Sheraton Montreal, Le Westin Montréal and W Montréal. In preparation for the two day ride through Quebec's countryside the team raised more than $60,000 for the two day event to raise money for Cancer research.

Lead by Pasquale Ruffolo, Director of operations at OTTO restaurant at W Montréal, the team of 20 Starwood Spinners will join riders from across the province to participate in this history-making event to do something big about cancer. 

The unique, two-day cycling event takes place on July 7-8, 2012, journeying over 200 km throughout Quebec's countryside. The Ride is a brand new endeavor to Conquer Cancer. The money raised for The Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer will help fund cancer research and care at the Segal Cancer Centre at the Jewish General Hospital and throughout Quebec. Funds will be used to support research and new technologies in the areas of molecular diagnostics, functional imaging, biomarkers, molecular target discovery and validation, and advanced targeted radiation therapy.
