Starline Tours' “Hollywood Pass” to take up where “Hollywood CityPASS” leaves off
It is anticipated that CityPASS will no longer offer the “Hollywood Walk of Fame CityPASS” after February 2014. If this happens, CityPASS is recommending that clients replace this with the new “Hollywood Pass” from Starline Tours starting March 1, 2014.
The “Hollywood Pass” includes tickets to the 3 biggest tourist attractions in Hollywood:
- Starline Tours' “Original Movie Stars Homes Tour” (departure from Chinese Theatre)
- Starline's “CitySightseeing Hop-on Hop-off Double Decker City Tour” (24 hour ticket).
- Madame Tussauds Hollywood.
The combined ticket value of this package is $119 Adult; $83 Child (3-11).
The “Hollywood Pass” gives 20% discount to travelers on this price: $95 adult; $66 Child.
Note: This Pass does NOT include hotel pick-up and return – just like the CityPASS.
Starline Santa Monica Terminal expands pick-up areas & tour options
Starline's passengers staying in Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, LAX, West LA & the South Bay are now being processed through the new Santa Monica Terminal, enabling a more efficient pick-up process for customers and a shortening of the travel time from hotels in these areas. The new Santa Monica Terminal location has also enabled an expansion of tour options in 2014.
Starline Tours upgrades & expands main Hollywood Terminal.
The new, improved and expanded terminal, developed in conjunction with Hollywood & Highland, will allow a faster & smoother processing of Starline passengers and will be developed in conjunction with a café space for guests to relax in.
Starline CitySightseeing Hop-On Hop-Off City Tour is now the largest in the world – connecting LAX area hotels to the Beaches, Beverly Hills and Hollywood
The addition of two new routes on the CitySightseeing Hop-On Hop-Off Double Decker City Tour in May 2013 expands this tour service's coverage to more than 100 miles. The new routes offer stops at LAX hotels along Century Blvd, Fisherman's Village, Marina Del Rey, and Venice Beach, Pier and Boardwalk. From there, passengers can connect to Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Los Angeles and Hollywood. No longer are the LAX Hotels so isolated and are part of this flexible & affordable hop-on hop-off service. Tours operate daily and include a “Show & $ave” promotion for discounts at more than 40 museums and attractions. 24-hour and 48-hour tickets are available.
Mutlilingual Tour Commentary arrived on Starline CitySightseeing Hop-on Hop-off City Tour in Spring 2013
This Spring there was an upgrade of the Hop-on Hop-off service so that in addition to English, the pre-recorded tour narration will also be available in eight foreign languages – Spanish, French, Portuguese, Korean, German, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and Italian. Individual headsets are provided to all passengers. This now gives international travelers to LA a choice of two multilingual tours from Starline Tours – the escorted 5½ hour Grand Tour of Los Angeles &/or the citywide CitySightseeing Hop-on Hop-off Tour.
Constant updating of Tours
Starline Tours is constantly updating all of its tours with the latest information about Los Angeles and its celebrities. Tours that are updated virtually daily include the Movie Stars' Homes Tours and the TMZ Hollywood Tour.
Introduction of WiFi on the CitySightseeing Hop-on Hop-off buses in 2014
Starline CitySightseeing is installing WiFi on all the buses so that customers can connect for free and use social media, the CitySightseeingLA website etc. from their mobile devices. This is especially important for international visitors who might otherwise have to incur significant roaming charges.
Continued Increased Frequency of CitySightseeing Hop-on Hop-off buses in 2014
Starline CitySightseeing has now finished the expansion of its tour routes, and in 2014 will instead concentrate on increasing the frequency of the buses on all the routes to reduce waiting time for passengers at the stops.
