Glitzy stars celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema at the 14th IIFA Awards July 6

                                                               

The International Indian Film Academy's long awaited IIFA Awards are back in town, with The Venetian® Macao as the Official Host Destination Partner. Last hosted by The Venetian in 2009, this time around there is much to celebrate. While IIFA can now boast 14 overseas awards shows and The Venetian Macao can proudly count hosting two IIFA Awards under its belt, Indian cinema celebrates a full century of film.

The first IIFA Awards were held in London in 2000 and have gone on to cities like Sun City, Genting Highlands, Dubai, Amsterdam, Sheffield, Bangkok, Johannesburg, Toronto and Colombo among others, with the most recent edition being celebrated in Singapore. As an institution, IIFA has committed itself to taking Indian cinema to the world, through a showcase celebration at international destinations each year.
