Specialist tall-ship sailing company, Star Clippers, has released details of a brand new package incorporating their 7-night Amalfi Coast sailings with a premium experience at the Rome Ryder Cup in September 2023.

Recognising the trend for inimitable experiences and unique opportunities, Star Clippers is thrilled to offer on-course Champions Pavilion tickets for day one of the tournament which takes place at the Marco Simone Golf Club, one day before Star Clipper sets sail from Rome. The sailing incorporates historical delights of Amalfi as well as Sicily, Sorrento and Ponza – the largest of the Italian Pontine Islands.

In the 10-night package, guests will experience a 3-night pre cruise stay in Rome at the Marcella Royale Hotel, with Champions Pavilion tickets, 7-night sailing on board Star Clipper, return flights from London and non-UK transfers included. Prices start from £4939pp - the package can be booked by calling Star Clippers on 0845 200 6145, or by contacting a local travel agent.

Notes to editors:

Star Clippers operates three of the world's largest and tallest fully-crewed sailing vessels. The ships can drop anchor in smaller harbours and visit ports often untouched by larger cruise ships and providing guests with the amenities and atmosphere of a private yacht.

High standards of service are provided by an attentive crew and all three ships have expansive teak decks, swimming pools, informal dining, a convivial Tropical Bar on deck and a comfortable piano bar and are large enough to offer first class accommodation and dining.

The two smaller ships, Star Flyer and Star Clipper take 166 guests each, with a crew of 74, while Royal Clipper carries 227 with a crew of 106.
