Overlooking Kensington Gardens, Brunello Bar & Restaurant has recently reopened with a stylish new look and a new Italian chef. Chef Alberto Rossetti has a love for pasta and risotto and was mostly inspired by his mother while growing up in Parma, a region renowned for its excellent cuisine. He believes that simple dishes can be sophisticated and refined using the right ingredients, attention to detail and passion.

The new informal lunch menu will incorporate many classic Italian dishes alongside a fine dining menu in the evening offering more contemporary interpretations. His signature dishes include risotto with lobster, courgette and lime, the pumpkin velouté with crunchy prawns in orange oil, tuna steak with sesame seeds and peppers and a crème brûlée topped with Sicilian pistachios.

New for spring and summer, Chef Rossetti has created a delicious Italian picnic box to take across to Kensington Gardens. A new aperitivo menu has also been launched in time for the opening of the hotel's outdoor terrace, in a prime location overlooking the park.

Priced at £40 for two people, the new Baglioni Picnic Box contains Italian bites such as:
• Piadina with Parma ham, mozzarella and scamorza cheese
• Rosemary and potato focaccia
• Frangipane cake with berry jam
• Bottled water

For £85 for two people the picnic box can be upgraded to include a bottle of Ferrari Trento sparkling wine.

In addition, the newly-redesigned Brunello Bar & Restaurant is offering complimentary Italian tasters with every early evening alcoholic drink, including Chef Rossetti's signature risotto, arancini, bruschetta, olives and chunks of Parmesan.

Baglioni Hotel London boasts more suites than rooms and Junior Suites are available from £450 per night, based on two adults sharing on B&B basis. For further information and reservations, visit baglionihotels.com or telephone 020 7368 5700.
