September, 2020: Head to Warwick Castle for glee, ghouls, and ghastly surprises from 24 October - 1 November as it transforms into The Haunted Castle.
With eerie new attractions for 2020, be Spooked! By day at Warwick's new haunted house walk-through with a trick or treat in every room, find creepy characters around every corner, and watch wicked witches on Dead Centre Stage as the Castle is brimming with spooky tales and scary fun for all the family. As darkness falls the Castle After Dark begins, so savour the spirit of Halloween with a shocking scare maze and frightfully good evening entertainment including fire-breathers and live music on the Main Stage, enjoying the very best in local street food and drink from Digbeth Dining Club. The bravest of souls can pit themselves against the Dead of Knight Scare Maze, working to escape the haunted underbelly of the Castle before it's too late.
Freaky fun before sundown...
A full day of family fun can be found between 10am - 5pm at the Haunted Castle daily. Concoct secret spells with the Witches of Warwick over their bubbling cauldron, navigate the eerie Haunted Hollows trail and be spellbound by spooky shows, fun and games at the Dead Centre Stage. Little ones will love exploring the Horrible Histories Maze, while roaming characters tell tense tales of the Haunted Castle. Marvel as birds of prey soar overhead in the epic Falconer's Quest show, climb the towers and ramparts, or train to defend the battlements with Have A Go Archery. In the creepy Castle Dungeon visitors can find some of the darkest, bloodiest and most frightening times in the Castle's history as live actors and special effects bring life to these gruesome tales.
The Castle After Dark…
This year, Warwick Castle has a whole host of spine-tingling treats that only come out after the sun goes down. Enjoy delicious street food and tasty tipples from Digbeth Dining Club in a Halloween-themed festival experience with live music and evening entertainment on the Main Stage. Experience nerve-jangling thrills in the Castle Dungeon After Dark and watch out for creepy characters in two scare mazes. For the bravest souls, travel through the depths of the Castle as chilling mists roll in over Warwick during its eeriest hours and attempt to escape the dreaded army of the dead in the Dead of Knight scare maze.
The Haunted Castle costs from £20 per person for daytime entrance (10am to 5pm from 24 October - 1 November) and The Castle After Dark from £19 per person for evening entrance (6pm to 11pm on selected dates 24, 29, 30 and 31 October) when booked online in advance*.
Spooky Sleepovers…
Those looking to spend the 'knight' at the Castle can stay at the 'Fright's Village' for a dreadfully good unique sleepover among whispering trees in the Castle grounds. Every stay includes two daytime entry tickets to the Castle (Castle After Dark not included), a hearty breakfast in the Knight's Village Restaurant, free parking and exclusive spooktacular evening ghost story, before cosying up safe and sound in medieval-themed Woodland Lodges. Topped off with a visiting witch or wizard at breakfast in the Knight's Village.
Halloween stays start from £111 per person per night including breakfast, car parking and two full days to enjoy The Haunted Castle.*
