INDIANAPOLIS – Spoke & Steele, one of Indianapolis' most popular restaurant concepts of 2015 offers memberships to a unique cocktail program: CraftShare.
CraftShare, an invitation-only craft cocktail program, offers handcrafted, small-batch cocktails straight from the cask. Each month a new cocktail is released after being on barrel for 6-8 weeks, with one ingredient always remaining “unspoken” to prevent the possibility of duplication.
“CraftShare is an opportunity for our team to introduce a different way to enjoy craft cocktails,” said Nick Clark, General Manager of Le Méridien Indianapolis, which includes Spoke & Steele. “The evolution of CraftShare is to generate a secret society style following of people that want to expand their knowledge of craft spirits.”
Members will have an apothecary style bottle stored in the restaurants' drink case to enjoy anytime throughout the month. Prospective CraftShare members submit a request on Spoke & Steele's website. Once vetted, an invitation is extended by mail.
For companies or groups of friends, the program can be enhanced and further personalized through custom barrels. Barrels ranging from 2-5 liters can be purchased and stored on site in the aging case. Each barrel will be branded with a company logo or name, and a private proprietary cocktail will be developed with the Beverage Director for anytime an impromptu party or meeting arises.
“This level of personalization and control over the experience is unlike anything out there right now,” Clark said.
