The new Spirit of Tasmania III sailed into Devonport today at 2pm after completing its sold-out inaugural voyage from Sydney to Devonport.

The ship departed Sydney at 3.00pm yesterday and passengers included Tasmanian Premier Jim Bacon, members of the travel industry and leading media.

�The response from the inaugural Sydney to Devonport voyage was very pleasing,� said Chief Executive Peter Simmons. �The feedback we received was that the journey was indeed magical with the great views of the coast, entertainment on the ship and the general cruise experience � I know that I certainly enjoyed the journey!�

�These passengers will now go on to experience the attractions of Tasmania.�

Bookings for Spirit of Tasmania III are still going strong with the voyage from Devonport tomorrow sold-out.

�As we suspected, people are jumping at the opportunity to take their car with them on the ship and enjoy a unique overnight cruise,� said Mr Simmons.
