VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA - This holiday season from November 24, 2012 to January 1, 2013, elaborate gingerbread creations will be on display at the 2012 National Gingerbread House Showcase at the Inn at Laurel Point in Victoria, B.C., leaving visitors with their mouths watering and their eyes wanting more.
Now in its fourth year, this is the first time the competition is being extended from the local to the national level. Professionals and amateurs will go head-to-head to produce out-of-this-world gingerbread creations using 100 per cent edible ingredients. All gingerbread houses will be on display at the Inn at Laurel Point following the competition and visitors are invited to view the displays and vote for their favourite by making a donation toward Habitat for Humanity Victoria.
In addition to hosting Canada's National Gingerbread Showcase, the Inn at Laurel Point is offering a special Gingerbread Package from November 24, 2012 to January 1, 2013, that includes one-night accommodation, a special gingerbread welcome amenity, gingerbread dessert for two in the hotel's AURA restaurant and complimentary parking. The package starts at $124.00 CDN plus taxes (based on double occupancy and subject to availability).
