This Chinese New Year international singing sensation Amanda Wood and world class violinist Rosemary Siemens will mesmerise guests with their passionate interpretation of upbeat songs, fusing elements of jazz, pop and classical music during their performances exclusively in InterContinental Hong Kong's Lobby Lounge on Friday, February.20th (as part of the Chinese New Year Fireworks Celebrations) and also on Saturday, February 21st and Sunday, February 22nd evenings from 9:00pm – 12:45am.

 

Enjoy your favorite pop and jazz songs performed with emotional intensity and up-tempo energy.

February 20th (Fireworks Evening):  The Lobby Lounge offers front-row viewing of the Fireworks Display on Friday, February 20th evening at 8:00pm.

 

On February 20thfrom 6:00pm – 10:00pm, for HK$888 per adult, enjoy a choice of three Tappetizers from a special menu with two standard drinks per person.

 

February 21 & 22: Minimum charge from 9:00pm of HK$160 per person.

 

About Amanda Wood, Canadian Contemporary / Jazz Singer / Songwriter

It all started with a phone call from Michael Bublé`…two years later Amanda Wood was about to release her first International Album, "On My Way To You." Listening to Amanda sing brings to mind the subtle whispers of Norah Jones and the powerhouse entertainment of Michael Bublé. Her music is a beautiful balance of power and emotion, standards and originals, all coming together in an Adult Contemporary -Jazz style. Michael Bublé personally gave Amanda career advice and encouragement.

 

Amanda partnered with the award-winning Miles Black to co-produce and co-arrange her dream album.  He also contributed two original songs he had co-written with Glenda Rae. She is a talented and passionate songwriter – having co-written four songs on her latest album.  Between writing, recording, mixing and mastering, Amanda traveled between Nashville, LA, Seattle and Vancouver. She has worked with Grammy award-winner John Clayton, Jr to come up with original ways to sing the classics.

 

Born and raised in Victoria, B.C., she trained on the stage in both acting and dancing. She attended university on a music scholarship. She plays multiple instruments. Her acting career includes both film and television performances. She also does “Voice-over” acting for animation, video games, ADR, Radio and Television as well as Narration and “on-hold” work.

 

Highlights of her career include performing in Beijing for the Summer Olympics. She has also performed at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. She has given a private performance for the King of Malaysia in Shanghai. Amanda has also performed with David Foster in Vancouver and with Jeff Goldblum's Jazz Quintet in LA. Her performances have taken her from Nuremburg, Germany to Orlando, Florida and many places in between.

About Rosemary Siemens, Canadian Violin Sensation

Known for her versatility, passion, musicianship, and style, Canadian violin sensation Rosemary Siemens has mesmerized audiences around the world since the age of three. Equally comfortable with classical and pop music, her diverse talents and improvisational skills have led to countless performance opportunities, including four different performances at New York's famed Carnegie Hall, one of which debuted a combined hip-hop and classical concert. She has also performed as the first solo instrumentalist ever allowed to play at St. Peter's Basilica as well as the Sistine Chapel at the Vatican since its beginning in 1483. Rosemary has also played at the Latin Grammy's in Miami and entertained at numerous private concerts, including for billionaire Donald Trump at his Mar-A-Lago estate in Palm Beach and for USA president Jimmy Carter. Her resume also includes concerts at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics; and even opening Hockey Night in Canada. Most recently, Rosemary was selected as one of the top 20 out of thousands of applicants for Canada's “Got Talent” live video audition. 

 

Rosemary is currently on tour through the United States and Canada with internationally acclaimed piano and violin fusion duo Roy & Rosemary.  The duo's debut album 'Once Upon a Dream' is a lush and fully orchestrated CD of favourite cinematic classics.  Rosemary had the great honour of being awarded the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, a commemorative medal for her significant contribution to the arts in Canada. When Rosemary is not making music, she is pursuing another passion—design. She has created her own line of sparkly instrument covers called BOOM FASHION COVERS. Rosemary plays a 1714 Claude Pierray violin on loan to her from a generous donor.  Rosemary is the process of producing an interactive live show to commemorate the 300th birthday of her violin. 

 

Rosemary will be performing over the Chinese New Year Holidays with vocalist Amanda Wood exclusively in Hong Kong from February 20th-22nd in InterContinental Hong Kong's Lobby Lounge.
