People planning events to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's platinum jubilee at the beginning of June can take a special offer trip to France next week to stock up on party supplies.
To link to the date of the Queen's coronation, ferry operator, DFDS is offering 1953 day-return tickets for only £49 with £25 cashback on any Duty-Free purchase in the week before the UK comes together to celebrate Her Majesty's 70 years as our Head of State.
Many people are taking advantage of the two Bank Holidays on 2 and 3 June to hold street parties and other celebrations.
The offer runs for one week only for people to book between 18 and 25 May, for travel from 19 to 26 May 2022. The Jubilee offer means that people can take a car on either the Dover to Calais or Dover to Dunkirk route and fill up on all the essentials at Duty-Free prices with up to 50 per cent off the UK high street price.

Duty-free shopping returned to DFDS' cross-channel ferry routes on 1 January 2021 for the first time since 1999 following changes to regulations that resulted from Brexit. The company operates up to 30 daily sailings on its Calais route and up to 24 daily sailings on its Dunkirk route.
Passengers travelling to Britain are now allowed to bring back five crates of bottled beer, four cases of still wine, and two cases of sparkling wine or four litres of sprits without paying duties. Each member of a group or family aged over 18 is entitled to this personal allowance.
