Royal Madikwe is delighted to introduce its much-anticipated Sovereign House - its brand new “home from home” in South Africa's popular Madikwe Game Reserve. Malaria-free and teeming with all of the “Big 5” game, it is a “right royal retreat” for larger or multi-generational families wanting an ultra-exclusive safari.
The Sovereign House epitomises elegance and sophistication whilst blending seamlessly into its natural bush setting. Its blue grey undertones, deep chocolate accents and warm rusty palette are inspired by the dolomite rocks and iron rich soils of the Madikwe. Exclusive to just six guests, the house boasts 3 spacious bedrooms with beautifully appointed ensuite bathrooms. Large open living areas create the perfect convergence for family fun - with an additional cosy loft style lounge upstairs where youngsters can chill in their own space. A selection of award-winning wines are poised to be enjoyed in a beautiful glass cellar adjacent to the kitchen. The extensive wrap-around viewing deck has real “wow factor” - adorned with comfy sun loungers and a decadent daybed where one can enjoy the sights and sounds of the bush.
There is also a refreshing plunge pool, open air rain shower and comfortable outdoor seating and dining areas shaded by Marula trees. Perfect days end in perfect ways here … sipping G&Ts around a blazing fire in the boma under the stars.
The Sovereign House has free high speed WIFI and Netflix for those who want it – although we are pretty sure they won't be looking for any additional entertainment apart from the show going on in front of the deck as herds of elephant and other game stroll past on their ancient path down to the nearby waterhole.
And the final “crowning” feature? The Sovereign House comes with its own private vehicle and guide for an unbeatable and intimate safari experience.

Sovereign House is offering a special launch rate of R55,000 per night in September and November 2019 for the whole house which sleeps up to 6 guests.
