Concept

Soneva In Aqua, the pioneering new concept from the Soneva Group will launch at its flagship resort, Soneva Fushi in the Maldives, November 2014. Soneva In Aqua will further elevate guest experience by offering the option of a boat villa which will combine all the benefits of this iconic resort's services and amenities with the freedom and exclusivity associated with a private boat charter.

The ultra-luxury and highly refined yacht measures 19.25 metres in length and 6.40 metres wide with a cruising speed of 6 knots. Whilst supported by engine power, the yacht's mainsail will rely on nature to provide the majority of its energy. The boat has a maximum occupancy of four guests to provide the ultimate sense of exclusivity and privacy whilst offering intelligent luxury of the highest international standard.

The two-cabin boat features a spacious master suite with a sunken glass bath and shower facilities. The second cabin offers a king-sized bed and en-suite facilities. Other features include an external raised sun and dining deck, a lower level bar and dining area plus daybeds, lounge seating and a Jacuzzi. Additional sun deck space is also available on a lower level for spa treatments and an internal library, lounge and dining room provide additional areas ideal for entertaining.  The design features natural materials such as rich brown leathers, woods and organic cottons.  Soneva in Aqua has been built with environmentally zero emission materials and all equipment including engines and generators are to the highest specification with regards to fuel saving efficiency.

Costs

Based on 4 people sharing, the cost per night will range from $4,375 - $12,500 depending on the season. There will be a daily supplement of $1,000 to cover four hours of cruising, full board meals, soft drinks and two dives per day. Guests booking a Soneva In Aqua experience before 21st September 2013, will benefit from a 35% discount on published rates.

Location

Soneva In Aqua will offer guests the freedom to cruise to the most exceptional reefs and breathtaking locations in the Maldives providing unforgettable and unique experiences for both divers and non-divers. The Captain will set the destination and itinerary according to the guests' daily desires allowing perfect freedom and flexibility.

Accommodation

Each boat is designed and built to very high specifications and with the utmost attention to detail to ensure guest comfort and safety. The spacious master suite has a king-size bed with his and her wardrobes and sink units with separate shower and toilet facilities discreetly hidden behind crackled glass panels. The sunken glass bathtub enables guests to observe the spectacular underwater world below. There are extensive relaxation areas and writing and vanity desks. The second room offers a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower facilities. All rooms have been designed to offer extensive natural daylight.

Food & Beverage Facilities

Soneva In Aqua provides guests with both indoor and outdoor dining experiences that promise to be both unique and memorable. Breakfast is served either on deck or in bed with an array of fresh fruits, cereals, pastries and much more. Delightful lunch and dinner menus are prepared in consultation with our guests to create some of their favourite dishes as well as some Maldivian specialties including fresh fish and shellfish caught fresh from the ocean daily. Menus will be designed by the Soneva resort executive chefs using local produce and where possible produce grown at the resort.

Meals are perfectly combined with a selection of quality international wines and spirits. The bar on the upper deck is the best place for sunset drinks and cocktails before dining. Additionally, guests can discover private islands or coves and dine under a starlit sky with sand beneath their toes whilst enjoying a simple barbeque or a romantic meal.

Guest Services & Facilities

Our highly skilled and trained crew on board includes Captain, Sous Chef, Mr Friday, dive instructor and housekeeper. Our crew offers an uncompromised level of service with the utmost attention to guests' needs whilst still offering utmost privacy. A 'map of locations' menu offers guests the opportunity to tailor make their voyage according to daily weather conditions, diving or snorkelling requirements and cultural interests.  

Guests can also enjoy the option of sleeping under the stars on the top sundeck. Stargazing is encouraged and constellation maps and the knowledgeable crew who have been trained by the Soneva astronomer are available for guiding.

Six Senses Spa

Spa treatments and wellness activities are available on board administered by our expertly trained Six Senses Spa therapist. Offering more than just friendly pampering, each holistic therapy provides an exhilarating sensory journey whilst at sea or on a secluded stretch of island. A private sunset massage on the sandbank, invigorating early morning Tai Chi or yoga on the deck – the possibilities are endless.

Leisure Activities

Guests whose interest lies in diving are offered day, night and sunrise dives, with the possibility to dive twice during the day. Snorkeling is also available with presentations on the

underwater ecology and environmental awareness. Sailing lessons, including map reading, are also given to our guests interested to learn.

Soneva In Aqua is managed by The Soneva Group and will incorporate the same brand values and personal service promised in the Soneva resorts.
