Thousands of tennis centers around the country have recently joined together to promote the many health and social benefits of the sport and Northstar is one of them. Known as Tennis Welcome Centers, these select locations offer FREE clinics that focus on three main things: learning how to play tennis quickly, getting a great workout and meeting new people while having a great time.

Doctors and sports therapists have long recognized tennis as an invigorating, healthy and fun-for-all activity offering a diversion from lifes stresses. Northstar is proud to help introduce new participants to the sport with its FREE clinics every Saturday from 4 p.m. 5 p.m. Participants can enjoy food and drinks at receptions following each clinic. Northstar offers two and five-day tennis camps for children and adults throughout the summer. Camps include stroke development, strategy, sport psychology and rehabilitation, video analysis, use of demo racquets, ball machines, refreshments and a souvenir T-shirt. Two-day camps are offered May through October and five day camps, June through August.

Weekly Activities: The calendar of weekly tennis activities reflects Northstars social and very friendly atmosphere. Besides midweek and weekend clinics for adults and juniors, there are themed tennis events held almost every day, whether its a pro exhibition with ice cream, a men's or ladies' day, a Brickyard Classic with car races, or the popular Margarita mixer.

Junior and Adult Camps: Apart from clinics, one of Northstars major draws is its adult and junior tennis camps. Adults have a choice of two-day weekend packages or five-day midweek packages, each with three hours of group instruction each morning. Prices begin at $132 for adults and $77 for juniors.

Special Events: Northstar is busting at the seams with a number of exciting events this summer. There is something for every age, athletic ability and gender.
