In a perfect marriage of fashion and hotel luxury, Sofitel Sydney Wentworth has signed on as an official event partner of Australian Bridal Fashion Week 2016, which takes place from the 24-26 June 2016.

Launched in 2015 by Wedding and Events Australia (WEOA), Australian Bridal Fashion Week (ABFW) is Australia's premier Bridal event in support of bridal couturiers and bridal fashion experts, providing a platform to showcase their collections to buyers, media and now the consumer at the ABFW Bridal Shopping Event.

Some of the world's most talented local and international bridal designers - including, Inbal Dror, Akira Isogawa,  Zuhair Murad, Monique Lhuillier,  Shane McConnell , Helen Rodrigues, Catherine R Couture and Nomiki Glynatsis – will stay and entertain at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth before revealing their new season collections on a spectacular 40 metre runway at Australian Technology Park .

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth will also host a luxury VIP lounge onsite at Australian Technology Park during the two day event, complete with Veuve Clicquot Pop-Up bar and a selection of special high-tea delicacies inspired by designer Cristina Re, for guests to relax and revive during show breaks. A Sofitel wedding booth will be available for guests interested in hosting their own wedding event with Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.

The partnership announcement comes as the hotel celebrates a milestone 50 years as one of Sydney's original five-star hotels, during  which time it has earned a reputation as one of the city's most endeared venues for generations of lovers.

A historical icon, the hotel offers  thirteen function spaces, with a dedicated Inspired Wedding Executive available to cater for all celebrations. Options range from a grand reception in Sofitel's pillarless Wentworth Ballroom to an intimate  outdoor ceremony in the hotel's chic courtyard and Garden Court Restaurant for an elegant inner-city yet leafy option.

Sofitel offers a full range of pre-designed or bespoke wedding events.

• Pre-Wedding celebrations at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth are priced from $59 per person, inclusive of a glass of Verve Clicquot.
• Sofitel's Garden Court Restaurant packages start from $166, based on a minimum of 80 guests.
• Sofitel's larger event wedding packages, such as the Celebration package for a minimum of 200 guests start from $164 per person.

Any bride who chooses to book their  wedding event with Sofitel Sydney Wentworth will receive two complimentary tickets to attend ABFW.
