Sofitel Luxury Hotels in New Zealand is basking in the glow of its recent 2014 TripAdvisor Traveller Choice Awards successes, with both the Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa and Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour announced among the world's best accommodation providers by the popular website.

Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa received a number of accolades in the 2014 awards, which is based on reviews and opinions posted on the site by guests and travellers from around the world.

The boutique style Sofitel in Queenstown was ranked the #2 top hotel in New Zealand, #19 in the broader South Pacific region, and #17 in terms of most romantic hotels in New Zealand. It also secured a place in the top 24 luxury hotels in New Zealand.

For the second year in a row, Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour continued to be recognized by TripAdvisor travelers by being selected as one of the top 25 hotels in New Zealand. 

Travellers' Choice award winners from TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel site,were determined based on the reviews and opinions of millions of TripAdvisor travellers around the globe.

The 12th annual global awards honour top hotels overall and in categories including B&Bs, Inns, Luxury, Romance, Family and Small Hotels. There were a total of 7123 properties awarded worldwide this year, 126 of which were from New Zealand.
