The Rendezvous lobby lounge, which has been known for its afternoon tea, delivers another sense of tantalization through its “Absolut Oyster” promotion. To celebrate the arrival of summer and the global French musical event Fête de la Musique, Sofitel Macau At Ponte 16 will host a chic musical evening on 21 June 2011, offering the very best of French music and cuisine to music lovers and gourmet fans.

All guests will be indulged with an intimate evening with a divine buffet featuring live French oysters, Foie Gras, Escargot, French cheeses, desserts and free flow of French sparkling wine, whilst enjoying a French live music performance by Trio Greslebin Jazz band from Paris –   Benoit Greslebin (band leader and pianist), Yann Gourhand (bass) and Julien Seríe (battery); The band will challenge and thrill audiences with numerous approaches and explorations, with a unique blend of jazz and pop, which is a total innovative experience to the music lovers. Sofitel Macau is proud to be their last station of the musical tour for the “Croisements” Festival.

1) Fête de la Musique - To celebrate the arrival of summer, Sofitel Luxury Hotels will organize Fête de la Musique (around June 21st 2010) - a French celebration of all genres of music - entertaining guests with concerts, dinners and parties to inspire musicians and music lovers everywhere in the world.

All over the world, the change of seasons marks a musical celebration. Amateurs and professional musicians are encouraged to perform in the street and many public concerts are organized to introduce new genres of music to the public. This is now becoming a global event in over 350 cities worldwide in the summer solstice.

The idea of Fête de la Musique is to promote encounter and exchanges between musician and music lovers and offer a platform to make it a real emblematic event in most of the countries.

2) About Benoit Greslebin, band leader of Trio Greslebin band –  A child of the 80s with a highly musical family, Benoit began by playing the accordion as a child. It was after being enthralled by the legendary Michel Petrucciani that he graduated to the piano, and began the journey which led him to the Jazz. By 2002, Benoit became a Tremplin Jeunes Talents award-winner at the festival of Saint-Germain des Près. With a unique blend of jazz and pop, he preserves the invention and sensitivity of the former and embracing the fun and joy of the latter.

3) Trio Greslebin starts a musical tour this June in 10 major cities in China for the “Croisements” Festival, from Beijing, Dalian, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou to Macau. This tour is organized by Alliance française network in China on the occasion of “Croisements” Festival, with the support of Spedidam.
