“Each Social Media Week, we see a broader, more diverse audience attending, and following – from startups, NGO’s and large corporations, through to traditional media outlets.   Social media plays an ever increasing role in all aspects of industry, and we are so excited to see what groundbreaking topics and techniques arise from this event. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Social Media Week Hong Kong,” commented Louise Huckfield, Managing Director, Cohn & Wolfe-impactasia.

Building on the success of SMWHK in February this year, the event will continue to promote the growth of dialogue, and collaboration on social media related topics that are relevant in Hong Kong and China, but also in markets around the region.

“Hong Kong is rapidly catching up to other world cities in its adoption of social media” said Jay Oatway. “In the past year social media has gone from curiosity to necessity for many businesses. C-level executives are now realizing that social media is one part of a new customer centric approach to business strategy--permeating every aspect of their business. I hope this week will inspire even more executives to become social leaders.”
