Snoworks Launch New Courses for the 2016-17 Winter Season in France, Spain and Kyrgyzstan

Ski course company Snoworks has launched three brand new courses for the 2016-17 winter season in three different countries – France, Spain and Kyrgyzstan.

The courses will all be hosted by a Snoworks instructor and focus on different elements of off-piste skiing and appeal to a variety of levels from 'adventurous intermediates' upwards.

Ski Kyrgyzstan, February 11, 2017

Ski adventure to Kyrgyzstan with accommodation based in traditional Yurts – the trip is open to competent skiers who are comfortable on black runs and can ski off-piste. The skiing is exclusively ski touring based and located in the Tian Shan Mountain range, part of the old Silk Road route between the Mediterranean and Asia. The skiing will all be accessed via snowmobiles from the Yurt camp and there's opportunities to explore some of the country and take in some of the culture too. Cost: £2,325 per person including 6.5 days ski touring with local guides and a Snoworks Instructor, 10 nights accommodation, lunch and evening meals where provided, return transfers from Bishkek Airport, transfers to ski areas. Ski Baqueira Beret, Spain, January 28, 2017

Snoworks All-Terrain week based in the Spanish Pyrenees resort of Baqueira Beret – well known for its varied terrain, excellent snow record and Spanish Royal Family connections. Open to skier levels 4 and above (adventurous intermediates), the all day, all terrain instruction will include a variety of challenges including the highly regarded off-piste opportunities, steeper couloirs for the more advanced skiers and heli ski options that provide excellent value for money. The accommodation is based with Ski Inspired in their 4 star Chalet Eira. Cost: £1,475 per person including 5 full days with a Snoworks instructor, 7 nights half-board accommodation and return transfers from Toulouse Airport. Course page link > here

Off-Piste Safety Course, Tignes, November 26, 2016

New course for skiers that want to expand their knowledge and skill in off-piste safety when skiing under professional supervision. Participants will gain a better understanding of equipment, companion rescue, self-arrest, route finding, skiing protocol, snow craft, glaciated terrain, weather and technical skills required to ski in varied terrain that's found off-piste. The course is not designed to provide skiers with a qualification to be autonomous in the backcountry, but to self-manage when under professional guidance or instruction. Cost: Course fee £365 per person, full package cost including half-board accommodation for 7 nights in the Mark Warner L'Ecrin du Val Claret and return transfers from Geneva Airport, 5 half days with a Snoworks Instructor, £1,055 per person.
