Perisher Blue - Celebrating 10 years 10 Jul 2005
Snow Season 2005: Alive and kicking at Perisher Blue!

Perisher

Conditions at Australias biggest ski resort, Perisher Blue, have improved dramatically with a whopping 50cm of fresh powder snow over the past 48 hours and more to come.

Just when critics were starting to write-off snow season 2005, Mother Nature delivered the goods.

With fresh snowfalls all the way down to Brown Mountain near Bega, Perisher Blue has received some of the best quality powder you will ever find.

Moreover the resort did not receive any of the forecast strong winds, so conditions have been ideal for hitting the slopes.

PR and Business Development Manager Neil Thew said, the next few days look like being some of the best in the resort so far this season and comparable to many of the great days we experienced in the past few years.

Given that the snow fell without too much wind, it has created perfect conditions for skiers and snowboarders of all levels, said Mr. Thew.

Currently Perisher Blue has more snow, more lifts and more terrain open then any other resort in Australia or New Zealand.

Thanks to these recent falls further lifts and terrain should open very soon.

Perisher Blue has also just opened a boarder cross at Blue Cow, which compliments the Vortex Rail Park already in use, at Centre Valley.

Opening very soon will be the highly acclaimed Perisher Blue Super Pipe on Front Valley, the PSP Super Park at Blue Cow, the Columbia Fun Park at Mt Piper and Tube Town sponsored by Caltex.
