Explore is offering free single room upgrade worth up to £630 on selected trips

Explore surveyed its solo customers recently to find the worst type of bedroom companions and discovered that the 58% would least like to share a room with a snorer, followed by 11% objecting to bathroom hoggers and 6% respectively finding chatter boxes, quiet companions and messy roommates amongst the most disagreeable traits.

To avoid the snorers and messy roommates, Explore is offering solo travellers the chance to enjoy the privacy of their own room on selected trips worth up to £630 on bookings made by 29 July 2016*.

In addition 44% of those surveyed stated if they were travelling solo they would like to meet a group of people with similar interests, 22% were looking for a companion to share the experience with, 11% were looking for a life-long friend, 11% for a travelling companion that would make them laugh, whilst only 6% were looking for love on a trip.

Over half of Explore's small group trips are made up of solo travellers who are looking for the chance to share the experience with other like-minded travellers whilst having the assurance of an Explore Leader who'll take care of the logistics and use their local knowledge to deliver personal touches that make the trip truly memorable.
